I am sure I'm in the minority, but I'd absolutely be open to moving Staal. I don't like this package, but I absolutely would move him to be able to re-sign Troch and play KK at 3C with Nino and Fast. That said, RBA will never trade Staal.

The Marino trade only makes some sense for the Wild if they also plan on moving Dumba.

Tell me more about Marino’s game.

Pens pass on all these easily. Can get similar production from Carter than you do Staal and for half the price. I can understand it for cap reasons cause you added Zucker, but not for production reasons. Staal isn’t worth what he is paid. Marino is gonna cost more than a prospect that has shown nothing plus a player who had 1 good season. At this stage of their careers, Blueger is the better option than Bonino. Younger, faster, more productive, and their price is basically the same. Borts for Friedman is like a wash. Depth D for depth D. I’d rather have Friedman for youth purposes. On the fence with the Pettersson one though.

young, sensational rookie year, tough second year, rounding out his game in 3rd year. trade will never happen. Minny needs cap space so agreed dumba would be the move but i was targeting former Pens and CA was talked as the heir to Letang on the Right side until Marino impressed everyone. Hopefully CA gets a full season this year and see what he can bring.

I doubt we see CA in the league next year. It feels as though Guerin looks at him as Spurgeon's replacement in 3 years or so once his NMC changes to a 10-team M-NTC. Addison would only be 25 when that happens.
