Devils decline. Rumors of the Devils trading up are misreported, the Habs were the ones interested and it was reported that the Devils were happy to take whoever falls to 2

There is nothing in the Pens trade that is worth a first.

Misreported?
Devs are on record saying they are fine to take Wright at 2. I want Slaf, but not for any kind of add!

You misunderstand me. We're on the same page, the Devils are not trading up.

MTL gave up too much for Dvorak to begin with which was a major consensus amongst many hockey writers, so I think using what MTL gave up for him is not an accurate benchmark. You really need to just go by performance. He's a good 3rd line player, so what do you get for that?

-Josh Brook is a poor prospect who couldn't even hack it at the AHL level.
-Dvorak's stock has dropped significantly and you'd probably get a 3rd for him at this point, MAYBE a 2nd to the right team and he's not the type of player the Pens are going to give a 2nd for.
-Allen is worth a 2nd, but he's out of the Pens price-range.

Yeah I was more supporting your thought, but understand how it looks otherwise
