I would definitely be open to trading for JG's rights, but we wouldn't take on Monahan's contract, at least in full. If you retained 50% we would do that probably. Also, I actually don't know if Devils would want an 8th year tbh. Even if they did trade for his rights, which I think is unlikely to happen, I think they would still prefer a 7 year deal

Trading rights doesn't allow them to sign him to an 8 year deal. Only Calgary can give him that

Forsberg only signs that contract with NSH.
