McDonagh is certainly going to fetch you a better return than that, or at least I would hope. Maybe there is something missing or not understanding but McDonagh’s value is absolutely higher than two thirds.

To make this work out, Tampa would need to take back Scandella. And with their cap situation this year. It's pretty doubtful that St Louis can afford Ryan McDonagh's $6,750,000 x 4 years. Unless they move out Tarasenko.

He's 33 with 4 years left this is basically a cap dump.

He’s got an NTC and has a big cap hit until he’s 37-38. He’s certainly valuable but those things make it really tough to trade him and likely won’t allow Tampa to get that good of a return. They’re mainly looking for cap space to keep guys like palat Paul Serg Cernak
