Dallas says yes if it can't bring back Klingberg or get a replacement at a reasonable cost since it allows us to kick the can down the road for another year.

I see Ottawa fans offering more for worse players, what's the issue here? It's not like Murray has value

If Ottawa's willing to move Pinto and the 7tg pick, they might as well just add the little extra to get DeBrincat. Nylander isn't the guy, especially at this price

you have to be kidding right? show me where a Sens fan told you this trade was good. No one wants Nylander especially with the awesome forechecking and corner battles... 7oa is probably going to be better than Nylander plus were giving away our best F prospect.. Ottawa doesn't want any of your mediocre 3-4th line players or your Nylander who doesn't get into corners cause he's a softy. You want to win in the playoffs you need to get rid of one of your precious "big 3" because of your not very smart Gm decided to give half of the teams cap space(40.6%) to 3 players and every year he tries to find cheap players to fill in the rest of the lines. Ottawa does not want Holl he is ****, Ottawa does not want kerfoot he is a third. line player, Ottawa does not want any of your prospects( ours are much better) and Ottawa does not want your ahl backup goalie we already have 3 goalies. Ottawa wants a top 6 to play with stutzle who will get into the dirty areas and score when receiving the puck and a top 4 D which you don't have or don't want to trade. Sry for being straightforward but its true.

This guy is completely delusional he thinks that every leafs player is worth much more then what they actually are. every team says no here.

So what is Nylanders value? *grabs popcorn*. There is literally a guy on here saying his team (Dal) would take the deal btw lol. Maybe look at the trades a little closer, you don't even know what your team is trading for. A pick in the 5-14 range is far from a guarantee to turn into Nylander:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/analyzing-value-nhl-draft-picks/

Even Wright and Slafkovsky are projected as 2nd line talents by some. Nylander is clearly a first line player on a deep team, putting up a ppg on the 2nd line and PP. Pinto is a good prospect but you are trading those two pieces in for a sure-thing. Murray has next to no value.

People expect the Leafs to give Nylander away for free, that's basically what it boils down to.

Idgas about his value you should keep him and trade Tavares or Marner.

Some probably want to, not sure what your point is there.

Here's an awesome trade from a Sens fan I just found:

White, Colin
Pinto, Shane
Brännström, Erik
2022 1st round pick (OTT)
2023 1st round pick (OTT)

All for Debrincat. That's literally a lottery pick in the Bedard draft + #7 OA + Pinto + Brannstrom for a diminutive forward that scores goals....and only 7 more than Willy's career best playing on the PP with Kane as the triggerman.

Yes Debrincat played with Kane. But Nylander played with some of the big 3. so there's no Difference there. the difference between the two is one of them works hard all the time while the other doesn't. I personally think that is way to much for debrincat plus the asking price for debrincat is a top pick, top prospect and a younger player. so it would be Greig, 7oa and brannstorm for debrincat.

Nylander plays in the shadow of 34 and 16 here, he's not the go-to guy for goals like DeBricnat. The fans are overly critical of him as well imo, he does work hard, he's just not physical - two different things. This is all a moot point anyway, because I firmly believe DeBrincat isn't getting traded.

surely you don’t actually think that Murray is the Sens’ issue with this trade, and not Pinto, right? If the Leafs want Murray with retention, sweet. but Nylander at best should be compared to Fiala. He’d have a bit more value since he comes in a bit of a cheaper contract. so if Fiala was traded for 16th overall and Faber, that’s still pretty similar to 7th overall and Jarventie, the Sens one is probably even a bit more. so maybe you’d be able to pry away a D prospect like Thomson too, in which case you’re blowing the Fiala trade out of the water. Pinto is in another tier compared to guys like Thomson, Jarventie or Faber, and I assume you just don’t know anything about him and that’s why you threw him in this trade, considering you’ve tried to put him on LW1 lmao

Guerin could have drove the value higher closer to the draft. He felt the value was enough so he took the deal. Words straight from his mouth, I don’t particularly agree with that mindset as a GM but that’s what was said. One less top line forward available come draft day. Boeser signed too, and DeBrincat likely doesn’t go anywhere imo. Supply and demand.

I’m familiar with Pinto though, he’s a quality 2-way player with some size, I’ve seen him play a handful of games…we are division rivals lol. Literally anyone can find their game playing beside Matthews, but it’s not like a spent hours mulling over these lines either lol.

Anyway, if Pinto is a deal breaker, what would you suggest as a trade, 7 + Jarventie? Probably a pass for me. Maybe if you have a prospect in between these two.
