I thought that the jets would have a top 15 d last season and I was wrong, somehow you've made the D even worse

sorry to break it to ya but jets are more likely to be on the decline and selling than trying to squeeze the last couple of yrs of the core before they leave for free. they basically are new sharks. good pieces but in limbo between not making the playoffs and barely making it in to lose in a round or maybe 2. It'd be better for them to start getting value pieces now to build a stronger future, especially with the kind of quality drafts that are coming up after this one. Kicking the rebuild/retool can down the road doesn't help the franchise in the long term at all. Now is the time to sell while there is good value and some kind of term left on guys like helly scheifle PLD.

Yup you're totally right but unfortunately the Jets ownership is too delusional to see that and the GM is either too blind or doesn't have the b@lls to tell the owner what needs to be done.

Maybe once fans are bored stupid watching Bowness hockey and they're losing games 2-1 and 3-2 the boos will rain down and it'll hopefully wake up the owner and/or GM to what really needs to be done.

The D last year was bad because we still had Charlie Huddy coaching the D. He was using the same systems that they used when he played for the 80's oilers.
