Description

Time to start winning now. Prospect cupboard is full and fans won't put up with another losing season. Dorion has gotta start making some moves that put the team in a position to make playoffs next season.

- Keller would be a great add. He's boys with Tkachuk and Norris and young with a good contract. He would be the perfect addition to the top 6. ARI gets the 7th overall pick along with a valuable piece in Brown that they can likely flip for a 1st round pick. JBD has top 4 potential as well, think that both teams get good value here.

- Don't hate Zaitsev but it's been rumored that he'll get dumped in ARI. Cap will start to matter after next season when Stutzle needs a new deal.

- Like the potential for Puljujarvi, he's the 2nd coming of Valeri Nichuskin. Think EDM is giving up too early and it's been reported that the ask is a 2nd rounder. Solid trade for OTT here.

- Chabot needs a partner, Marino is young with a good contract. PIT is going to run into cap issues with Malkin/Letang so they clear 4.4 mill while still adding a great middle 6 winger/PKer. Losing Formenton hurts but Joseph is a similar player.

- VGK will move Karlsson, solid all around player and would add much needed depth. Cap hit is kinda hefty but OTT has lots of cap space. Would provide some veteran leadership to a young team.

- Bought out White, simply makes too much to be a 4th liner. Buyout penalty is insanely cheap as well.

- Janmark adds depth. Solid bottom 6 forward. Marchment would be sick but probably won't happen.

um where areyou getting this asking price from. Oilers arent actively shopping him and JP has not requested a trade. this has been confirmed by multiple sources. the only one trying to really push this is that idiot sector which nobody that knows hockey takes seriously. unless its a hockey trade that makes sense, JP is staying in edmonton

Yeah my bad, would sign him to 2x3.25 or something similar. And possibly, but all the reports say that it's a 2nd round pick asking price.

You think ARI turns down 7th OA, another 1st in Brown, a former 1st rounder whos developing well and a third? That's quite a haul for a player who has never hit 70 points and is coming off a bad injury. EDM is apparently asking for a 2nd rounder and yeah maybe PIT declines, but I think the value is there and it's a fair trade.

2nd round pick might be his value, but i'd be surprised if that's what he's actually traded for. makes 0 sense for the oilers

OTT declines all but Zeitsev deal, way way too much for Keller, Formenton not getting traded and OTT has no need for 5.9M 3rd line C with term

Think thats the price for a talent like Keller. Formentons name has constantly been in trade rumor's. Sure he may not go to PIT but theres def a decent chance he gets traded.

Fiala is better and more consistent and did not cost remotely close to this.

Keller is better than Fiala. Fiala's points were inflated due to riding shotgun with Kaprizov, Keller is the man in ARI and is their main offensive weapon. Fiala was also an RFA and Minny couldn't keep him because they couldn't afford him. They had no choice but to trade him, ARI and Keller aren't in the same situation. Keller is signed for 6 more seasons at a very reasonable cap hit, almost a million less than Fiala. He's also 2 years younger. Fiala essentially went for two 1sts. My Keller trade is essentially 2 firsts, a 2nd (JBD) and a 3rd. I think that's going to be the cost if he were to get traded
