Barrie is not garbage, he may not make sense for the oilers at this point because of cap space and Bouchard being capable of QBing the PP, but he is absolutely not garbage and has way more trade value than that crap with Dallas.
If the Oilers go and get Gagner then Ryan needs to be moved, they are basically the same player, but Gagner is younger and will be cheaper if you gave him some term. Try 3x$850k, no way he signs a 1 yr deal for $800k after the good season he just had.

How is he more proven than kosk was when he signed that deal? Husso had what 20 really good games that might be generous. Certainly not a sample size I'd be making another 4 year commitment. Talbot in my opinion far better to target shouldn't cost much to get has a fair cap hit and experience and limited commitment which gives skinner room to grow.
Kulak I'd be in on up to a Max of 2.750 million anymore I don't see a need being big enough to justify going higher.
Barrie was really good in the playoffs and think fans should be careful what they wish for seriously undervalued his contributions. Very good chance we wouldn't have gotten past LA without Barrie came up massive in game six.

A necessary overpay for Kulak tbh (he needs to stay in EDM), and Barrie is trash, he is terrible at defending and we need defenders that can actually defend (could've gotten a higher pick with him in that Dallas trade though)
