If the 2nd overall 2022 1st round pick isn't included for DeBrincat you would have to add at least one more 1st round pick, and even then it's a big maybe.

Holtz = 1st rounder
Foote = 1st rounder
2023 1st = 1st rounder
2024 1st = 1st rounder
Two 2nds, Daws = 1st rounder

So roughly five 1sts and still not enough.

Not a fan of a lot of this, it's really addressing the wrong things.

Greiss backing up Campbell is dangerous. I have no faith in Greiss and with Campbell's injury issues, he'll likely get a decent chunk of games. Add on top the fact that you traded Daws gives us very little security for if/when Campbell misses some time.

Smith/Walsh pairing is just doomed to fail. If we're running with Ty again next season (which I expect), he needs somebody who can help cover for his lapses, not a very inexperienced defenceman that is likely to have even worse lapses in his rookie season.

With adding Cat and Blackwell, plus losing McLeod and Wood, this team has gotten a lot smaller and softer up front. Even if Slafkovsky is NHL ready next season, which is a big if.

(No team is paying the prices Blackhawks fans expect here)

I mixed up Nolan's value with Cal's. But we have no interest in Daws. and you can replace Daws and the two 2nd round picks with a 2024 first.

If that's an unprotected 2023 1st, Chicago should say yes immediately.

It would be a requirement.

Yeah that ask is gonna be too high. Don't care about what they turned down. The price you're setting is far too high (probably rightfully so).

I meant it in reference to the general ask, which is usually Holtz and the 2nd overall as a starting point. So, if the starting point doesn't include the 2nd overall then it will be Holtz and two 1st round picks. Was not referring to the value of Foote or Daws or the two 2nd round picks. I was just lazy and didn't elaborate. But we aren't really interested in Foote or Daws anyway.

We are clearly blessed with someone in the front office of the blackhawks organization that knows what the team is and isn’t interested in. Thank you 🙏

Holtz plus 2023 1st - or 2022 2nd overall alone - is probably beyond what NJD would ever consider paying.

These prices are wants. They are not realistic.
