Sounds like they almost traded Murray with retention + 7th overall to Buffalo for 16th overall just now. But Murray didn't waive for Buffalo.

They may be motivated to move him.

Schenn had a good year last year. He had a Lyubuskin type year. And his cap his very low.

So the answer is because he is making 850k a year. And because I don't see Van being motivated to moving him.

Schenn had like 20 good games last year and is much much worse than Lyubushkin, who is also not as good as holl. So again, the leafs are paying more to get a much worse defenceman, he makes less because he's worse

It wasn't said how much was retained but they very likely were looking at also moving out his salary. There was no salary coming back to Ottawa in that deal, but in yours in addition to the 50% retention you also have Ottawa taking on Mrazek so ultimately they end up taking on MORE salary and cap not less.

Yea I understand that. Hence why I paid rather than Ottawa paying.

Canucks decline. Schenns on a good contract and he helps
hughes alot.

I can see Fleury signing but not on a 2 year.

Also very rare to see a leafs fans cap friendly that isn’t unrealistic af. Good Job 👏

Also that London guy is just a salty leafs troll. Wouldnt even reply to him smile

I make big change AGMS all the time. I think they do more than what I listed here. But we will see!

How long do you think Fleury signs for? Reports are that he doesn't want a 1 year deal. And he is 37. I wouldn't go for longer than 2 years, unless the cap was like 2m.
