I know everyone is going to say this isn't a full roster, but I think the forward depth with the Marlies offset signing anyone else. Robertson, Steeves, Abruzzese are all waiver expempt Anderson and Clifford Think clear. Quite deep.

Next Dubas gets bent over the barrel by whichever goalie he's trying to sign, Peter Mrazek v2.0. He's going to hear a lot of 'if not my client, then who?'

SJS got 3 goalies rn

I got a feeling one is coming via trade

As for who the tandem or starter is

Not gonna lie I got a feeling its one of Husso or Kuemper.

To me a Husso/Reimer tandem would be fun but who knows

Sure but who gives a FA goalie a better chance of winning? Colorado and TO offer the best chance of winning. So why wouldn't an FA goalie consider that. Maybe a bubble team will offer more money but winning will be a big motivator.

The Leafs have failed to get out of the 1st round for 6 straight seasons and won't have made any real changes due to cap space. No one is looking at them and going 'this is where I go to win'.

hmmmm

So then Kuemper/Kallgren could actually happen....

Cause there is no way you go with Husso if Kallgren is the backup

and that's why Dubas is about to get bent over the barrel by these goalies' agents.

They took the defending champs to the limit and got screwed by some bad calls. It was a coin toss they lost to a team that knows how to win. Most logical people see they are on the verge. Only troll nation keeps going because it makes them feel better

Most teams failed to get out of the first round (only 8 of 32 do) and leafs in toughest division finished 4th overall. But for a bounce or a call they beat Tampa and who knows…They are one of the best teams, and the most valuable franchise, in the league. Players will always want to play there

Every season its a new excuse. This season it was the defending champs, last season it was a team who wouldn't even make the playoffs in a normal year.

2nd most valuable franchise in the league and players have not always wanted to play there. It's been a big problem attracting UFAs to Toronto(and Canada in general).

There is no excuse for losing to Montreal but it doesn't matter, they showed they are ready to take the next. And then it'll be fun to hear what you guys have to say.

Leafs are Most valuable & most popular by far, rangers #1 in value only because of MSG (inflated property value in NYC) & that may change soon … leaf’s will always be able to attract top FAs. They haven’t had to recently (since JT) b/c they drafted so well and cap space has been tight.

Toronto showed they were ready to 'take the next' after Washington too. After Boston the first time and after Boston the 2nd time.

If the Leafs will always be able to attract top FAs, why hasn't that been true in the past? History is the best indicator of the future after all.

Your going to give me some ridiculous speculation so let's just skip that and look at the facts. We know all the Canadian cities are in the top 10 on frequency of appearing on players no trade lists, including Toronto. We know players don't want to play in Canada, including Toronto. We know players don't want to play in Toronto.

Yep there will be silly people who say otherwise but for the most part we hear it all the time

"I dreamed of being a Leaf and here I am"

If Leafs were running like they did with no cap would see a lot more big names here

Well so to would NYR and MTL and that would be bad for bettman

Ah yes this troll argument. Ovie didn't win crap until 10 years into his career but somehow that doesn't matter. Colorado couldn't get past the 2nd round and then won the cup. St Louis has years of playoff disappointment. None of that matters though because on the Leafs are doomed for constant failure because you want it to be so so you can say stupid **** like this. Go away

JT? What other top FA's have changed teams in recent years? None because most players never reach FA. You're obviously just a small man looking to annoy leaf fans. Your life's work is so ambitious

That or I'm a Leafs fan with a lifetime of experience laughing at younger fans and their delusions. There's a bottom line to this argument: If FAs want to play in Toronto, why is it among the top 10 appearances on no trade lists? There's no getting around that question, it gives us the answer.
