I just don’t see Salo starting as a regular, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s traded. He should be, I just don’t think that’s how Lou thinks

They thought they were getting chychrun for 13 and beau, the reality check is natural

For real. I'm very excited for Romanov. We basically accelerated our 1st round pick into a 22-year-old top-4 defenseman who can play right now.

I just don’t think Romanov is a top 4 d yet. He definitely has the potential to reach that though. We will see

Not sad, but I would’ve rather drafted Nazar than trade for Romanov, but if Lou kept the puck he would’ve drafted a dman anyway so it is what it is

Which is stupid because Salo would come extremely cheap, leaving cap room to improve the forward core

Think of it as accelerating our 1st round pick from an 18-year old we need to develop for four years to a 22-year old with 100+ NHL games under his belt.

EDIT: Oh, I said that already. Either way, it's a good way to look at it.

Yeah. I don’t hate the move, but I do hate the fact we traded more for Romanov than we got for Toews. Bad asset management

Very strange way to frame the isles making a better trade than the chychrun you just suggested
