Kane is Kane and all, but I wouldn't trade that plus lose Nichushkin in free agency for one year of him.

We could trade the rights to Lehkonen and trade Compher to sign Helm and Nuke, yet still trade for Kane.

I think this is a fair deal…. Maybe a bit light from Colorado if Kane is going to be 50% retained. Dude is still so good

Why would COL do that? Kane doesn’t play defense and let’s be honest doesn’t really play below the dots, where as Newhook is cost controlled and under team control. COL trading limited draft capital is a bad idea, COL trading draft capital AND cost controlled NHL talent is an epically bad idea
