Why would we swap a fairly paid JMo for an overpaid Nurse?

As much as it would be great for the Oilers and Hellebuyck, it seems unlikely that trade will happen. I don't think the Jets are ready to tear things down yet, and the Oilers simply don't have the trade capital required to get him. If he does become available before Wednesday, expect Washington and Toronto to quickly pivot from their current focus.

That Jets proposal is in the running on the list of worst trade proposals I've seen in this forum.

No one is touching that terrible; horrendous, Nurse contract, at least for a few years.

I’ve seen worse trust me

Simply put contract is bad... Morrissey is a - defense with a decent core and one of the best tenders going.
Nurse played with a not so great core and not so great Goalie and holds it together with good + numbers
3 mill for that much of a difference I'd take
Also when they will most likely need to hit the cap floor in a year or 2....

Not a chance the Jets give up the two best players in the deal and get stuck with Nurse's contract.

You obviously havent watched Morrissey play then last year. When he wasn’t saddled with anchors like Beaulieu and Poolman, he has been quite good. He was the Jets best defenseman last year.
So once again, Jets pass very hard.
