Campbell isn’t signing that. I think Murray trade is good. So many leafs fans undervaluing Murray like can be on the leafs retained for future considerations. With more and more goalies leaving the market I will have to say the leafs will have to overpay for Murray.

you’re forgetting that the Sens were getting the 16th overall pick back in the Buffalo trade. so it’s to move back in the 1st round. so to make this deal similar to that, the Sens would need to get a 1st round pick back as well, just presumably a later one. especially if the Sens are retaining 50%, rather than 25% like in the Buffalo trade. the package going back to Ottawa there isn’t even close

That's 25 million exactly what he wants, or he can shave a year off the contract and switch teams and play in Edmonton for probably a 5x5

OTT was sending Murray @ 25% retained + 7OA for 16OA

Youre asking for double the retention.

That means you think Joey Anderson, Durzi and a 4th is worth ~12OA

Also, OTT declines.

Why are we paying so much for a UFA? And thats a rediculous amount for ARI retention!

Honestly, it would be pointless to sign him for that long if they have Murray anyways, sure they gained an asset in the first (Muzzin won't be going to Chicago) but that won't do much for them. if they go sign an okay goalie in fa like comrie that would make more sense than signing campbell after acquiring murray. The savings could be used to bolster the RD in some way perhaps, but I'm sure Dubas would be going from pieces that OTT has that they can use directly unless it's a blockbuster 3-way and not just a 3rd team retaining.

Kid will be a steal in FA even at his QO, if I'm Dubus I'm all over Dylan Strome offering 4.25 x 5 and sliding in the middle of JT and Nylander

Yup, but I could also him reunite with McDavid in EDM.

I am hopeful being from the GTA gives us the edge

He could reunite with McDavid and be forever in his shadow like in Junior or being from the GTA head home and not be in that shadow and you know be Dylan Strome the #2 C in TO
