Keeping Tatar would help this team imo. Was really solid in Montreals cup run and i dont see alot of experience and/or depth in this lineup.

Huge overpay for Zacha, who the Ducks don’t really have a spot for anyways

Just for discussion, and I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but a full year of Jack and Johnny and *potentially* upgrading between the pipes would be a big push, but do we think it adds the (around) 40 or so pts that gets you to a 2nd wildcard spot?

Seattle passes, no interest in giving up picks for a Johnsson.

If the goalies stay healthy and play average this team could be very solid
When Hughes was healthy (I think in January) Devils were a top 5 offensive team in the league statically

Why would Blackwood have anything resembling value?

Your use of Kuokkanen, Boqvist, and Mercer is ridiculous

Yeah, I think they'd be a fun team for sure. That's a tough division though, so it's hard to say. Great pick with Nemec though!

He definitely still has some value, but that seems like an overpay. I’d like to have Blackwood on the leafs though

Murray had a better save % than Blackwood last year & has won two cups. Leafs with me in net are still top 10 so give your head a shake

Devils finished 40 pts out of playoffs and you think your 3rd choice goalie coming off repeat bad years gets a top prospect + two draft picks. Doubtful

Devils GM said they're keeping him so I doubt that happens

Its hard to make the playoffs when you have to use 7 goalies in a season genuis. Have fun with Matt Murray

Murray last 3 years
5-12-2 3.05 .906
10-13-1 3.38 .893
20-11-5 2.87 .899

Blackwood last 3 years
9-10-4 3.39 .892 (INJURED)
14-17-4 3.04 .902
22-14-8 2.77 .915

Blackwood is younger, better, and cheaper than Murray.

i mean, a 5'9" winger who can't stop getting hurt and a couple mid-round picks isn't necessarily a ton to give up for a potential 1B. but i guess i can't fault toronto fans for not wanting to trade for a goalie with a $3Mish cap hit on the hopes he starts playing like it's 2018-19 again
