Better chance at (and would be better off) dumping muzzin and holl and signing Klingberg on a cheap 1 year deal than getting Dumba like that.

Kings do not want, nor can they afford, Jake Muzzin.

What IS it with you people that you're simply impervious to facts? How many times do you have to have Los Angeles' roster and cap situations explained to you? After re-signing Mikey Anderson and Sean Durzi, we will have 14 forwards, 7 defensemen and 2 goaltenders under contract and less than half a million dollars in cap space. Anyone with a sixth-grade intellect can go on the Kings' CapFriendly team page and figure that out. Why can't literally half the Toronto fanbase meet that challenge?

Here:
$47 million in forwards (removing Lias Andersson's $750,000 cap hit but adding in about $1 million for re-signing Gabe Vilardi)
$18.45 million for Doughty, Roy, Walker and Bjornfot
$10.8 million for Quick and Petersen
$2 million in dead cap
Total: $78.25 million
That leaves roughly $2.5 million for Anderson and $1.5 million for Durzi, and $250,000 in cap space.

For the thousandth time, please stop with the numerically impossible Muzzin trades. As my friend @tkecanuck341 says, we couldn't afford him even if we wanted him, which we don't.

Minnesota declines. For the last time Toronto fans, we aren't retaining on any trade, nor do we want Justin holl. We are stacked with LHD and don't have any RHD besides dumba. So Minnesota says no.

I think that it's more a case of a significant segment of that fanbase (not a majority) either incapable of processing, or refusing to accept, uncomfortable facts. Our cap situation is factual. Muzzin's NTC and his understandable reluctance to waive it and leave home, particularly for a non-contending team, are factual.

Toronto fans. The pacorietty deal is a preview of what Muzzin is going to get you assuming you can get him to waive
