Jake Muzzin for Dvorak final offer, both recently injured, both recently underperformed and both paid a little to much

You trade for Pierre-Luc Dubois, but did not sign him?

How is dvorak overpaid? He was a 50 point pace elite faceoff centre who has only been injured once in the last 3 years. For less than 5 million its a steal.

There's simply no reason or enticement for Winnipeg to add to Dubois AND trade him for a lowball offer.

Cause he's none of those things, he's not an "elite" center he's a complimentary player and has been a 30-40 pt C his entire career

No they won't, there is very few top 4 D that carry a pair available via trade and none available in FA

Actually he has never breached 40 pts and out of 6 seasons in the league has only breached 70 GP 3 times because he's been injured

Next season will determine if he is a 2C or 3C
Right now he is a low end 2C - high end 3C

You think so because as a jets fan I think it’s a solid offer they’re getting a top 4 RHD spec with size and skill, a high end 3rd line center (maybe even 2nd probably not though) a 1st and Montreals 2nd (which is going to be very high in the draft)

Next season will determine if he's a 2LW and regain his junoiur numbers playing with Marner or if he's pushed Kampf to 4 C while Muzzin babysits Savard in Montreal

Stanley is bad so it’s not really a sweetener

I'm saying the Leafs have a top 4 LHD (Montreal needs one) and the Habs have the underperformed overpaid Dvorak that can play at both wing and C it's a match made in heaven and a win for both teams

Mailloux has severe moral character issues so he's not likely interesting to True North at all and Dvorak is a highly overpaid marginal 3C.

The Jets would get a 1st and good prospect that they like and need at the TDL in 2 years. Dreger said Chevy is only listening on offers too good to ignore. This looks really easy to ignore.

PLD for 2 years + 1st + good prospect>>>>>>> this offer.

Dvorak is a good mentor for Suzuki Dach Evans Poehling while Edmundson is a good mentor for Harris and Guhle
We're good here with Dvorak you can keep Muzzin

LOL Edmundson-Guhle-Harris is expected to be our starting LD this fall. Beyond that we have Xkeyaj and Schueneman who will be competing with Barron to be the 7th D man and Norlinder, Fairbrother, Struble, Leskinen, Engstrom, Trudeau, Hutson and Nurmi all as future options. With Norlinder, Hutson and Struble all potentially being ready for the 23-24 season. So as you can see we are full but the reason Guhle is not listed on the roster is because there isn't enough cap space currently.

Edit** right now our projected D will be

Edmundson-Petry
Guhle-Wideman
Harris-Savard
Schueneman

Because Hughes said he does not want more than 2 rookies on our D at a time. By the end of the year I would expect something like this

Guhle-Petry
Edmundson-Barron
Harris-Savard
Wideman
