Low picks but sure. And yeah unfortunately DAL is pretty cap strapped.

Over $4m in dead cap, a 4th and a 5th for a 2nd and a 3rd. Pretty comparable in value to me.

Hmmm...actually quite fair analysis. Fair enough.

At least SOMEONE did put work behind in their thoughts. I hope more fans were like you.

Dellandrea is basically that. Solid two way C prospect bit stuck in our system. I'd argue the value is close to Ty Smith, maybe a tad less due to not having much NHL experience yet. Same aged guy and Dellandrea was drafted earlier than he was fwiw.

Gleason is also NHL ready guy, scoring 40 points in AHL as a D-man.

Dobby needed to be included for cap reasons, and given he has only one year left taking him shouldn't be a problem for NJ.

Dellandrea is a tweener.
Ty Smith was the top dman in Calder voting last year.
I'd argue they are not close.

What did Dallas fans ask for Klingberg this time last year?
That should be what they are offering here.

This time last year? Nothing. They expected Klingberg was going to re-sign and nothing pointed out to other direction until like December.

Reportedly Klingberg still wants to re-sign but cap is making this impossible.

Sounds similar to Severson.
We thought he was bound for an easy extension.
Then they drafted Nemec, traded for Marino.

How else would you define a goalie you have been paying to be in the minors?

Injured player?

Look, it goes without saying that Dobby isn't a part of this trade for value reasons but cap reasons and Devils does not have problems in adding some in order to make a trade.
