Based on his contract and the way the trade market played out this year I don’t think Pettersson has much value. Not saying he couldn’t get moved for a third but that’s about it. Also I’m not sure St. Louis wants to move Barbashev for a guy who can’t help them win now.

I think the Pens would have to dump Pettersson and I doubt Hextall wants to do cap dumps. If he did one of Zucker or Pettersson probably is gone now

I do agree that he isn’t a cap dump, but I don’t think he is worth much at all either — can’t see the Ducks making a deal unless there are picks coming back with him though

Not going to be trading him, but Petts defensive advanced stats at near the top of the league. Absolutely not a cap dump and probably worth at least a 3rd to some teams.
