Mittelstadt is the antithesis of the kind of player EDM would want and his cap hit is too high. I'd rather get a 3rd in return.

If ppg Pacioretty was traded away for FC why would any one pay for Barry , Puljujarvi or Foegele.
If I were Karmanos I would offer Bjork @ 50% retained for either of them.

Not the same situation as Vegas was over the cap already & Pacioretty had a 7mil cap hit w/ a M-NTC which limited the options.

However, you're not wrong that teams should be and will likely be exploiting teams out of every cent given the cap conditions. I'd take Bjork @ 800k over Mittelstadt any day of the week.
