Provorov and Konecny get a bigger return, Hayes gets a smaller one

I’d add a first to each of those deals, remove the picks from the Boston deal although I don’t think Philly takes that

Hayes has much better value than Coyle, Folingo is a cap dump… Philly definitely needs that first to even consider this but Hayes really is probably looked at as a dump as well.

The Provorov trade for me does nothing but give an injury prone cap dump and some spare parts for a 1LD.

Konecny starts at a first so I agree there

I don’t think Hayes is a cap dump. He has potential to bounce back and is a Boston native so it would definitely motivate him especially with his brothers passing and being back home. Just my opinion.

I feel like Boston would like a veteran presence to fill the Bergeron 1C position instead of using the 1st pick on a prospect.

And since they don’t have a 2nd round pick the next two years, they would be forced to give up a 1st. They would be getting back a 2nd though, I think that’s fair.

If I send Konecny to DET instead of Provorov then the 2nd to BOS could come from that instead…

Hayes does not have more value than Coyle. I honestly think Hayes may have the worst contract in the league. He gives you marginally better offensive production and not the same two-way game as Coyle, all while playing top-6 minutes with Coyle primarily playing 3C

Marginally better? Coyle is just over.500 PPG coming off the 2nd best season of his career. Hayes is just over .700 ppg
Hayes is also no slouch in his own zone. A very good shutdown C and he also was playing the 3C role most of the time in Philly behind Giroux and Coots.

Hayes is a pretty solid player honestly, just him, like Coyle, are significantly overpaid. 1-2 million id say.

Hayes is a solid middle 6 C and he did very well in Philly when he came back. I just don’t see him as a 1C and Boston needs a 1C

I like the narrative of him to Boston, just not sure it will work out
