Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Avs need cap space to pay MacKinnon, Byram and Newhook in 2023-24. Newhook not ready for 2C in 2022-23, so bring in Miller as 2C for one year in a salary swap w/Girard, then make Newhook 2C in 2023-24. Miller and Compher dropping off books then should leave enough $$ to pay MacKinnon, Byram and Newhook and bring in a new 3C.

Umm, Girard is good defensively... He's also 24, plays both LD/RD, and has a great contract for the next five years. Vancouver should accept this if it were offered.

Canucks don’t need another midget defensemen. Avs can keep him. Replace Girard with Byram, and we maybe think about it. We may even retain half in a Byram deal. But apart from that, there is no deal to be had here. Avs have nothing to realistically offer that we want
