Description

Let's just assume that Duchene, Forsberg, and Josi all regress in production a little. Combine that with Tolvanen not progressing as expected, and you can assume the middle 6 need at least 100 points from a couple of players not currently on the roster.

If the Canes were going to trade Necas for futures, you'd need a 1st to even open the conversation. Necas is 23, plays a solid 2-way game, plays all situations, can play the most valuable position in the sport, and has multiple 40-point seasons under his belt with the potential to go far bigger. This isn't enough
