So the Senators and Red Wings make up the 45 and 46 point gulf between them and the Leafs when the Leafs bring back essentially the same team? The leaf hate is ever present on here lol

I will admit, I dislike the management, that being said, i whole heartedly believe they will not make the playoff with their current team getting this much worse.

No I think they got worse to the point where they are a wildcard team and the other teams in the division got better

What has Anaheim done this summer to jump from 7th in the division to a playoff spot?

Ottawa and Detroit still have too many holes and youth to jump ahead of Toronto and Boston.

No I genuinely believe this. Respect my views. I’ll eat my words if I am wrong and I would expect you to do the same as well.

Personally I see the youth of Anaheim developing further being why they jump up. I see their youth jumping San Jose easily, Calgary getting worse this year so they drop below them, and I personally see the canucks having a poor year with miller not being able to replicate last year and the momentum they had last season not carrying over into this season. People forget Anaheim was in a playoff spot for the first half of the season and I see the development of their prospects and young players being why they jump in as the last playoff team.

My one concern for Minnesota is that Kaprizov isn’t being let back into the US

I made this in mind with kaprizov returning but if he is not returning I would knock them down a few spots, behind St. Louis tbh.

Lol this much worse eh? Mikheyev was that big a contributor? Or Spezza? Those two are going cost the leafs 45 points? Just mindless trolling

Mikheyev, Lyubushkin and Spezza got the Leafs 45 extra points I guess.

You seem to be forgetting that Anaheim has lost a whole pile of key players though.

The loss of getzlaf, rackell, lindholm, Manson, and possibly Milano I see as something not too bad personally. I see their current core producing more than their former ones

Sure, but the current core players aren't replacing the older guys - both were on the team last year.

Personally I see this team struggling with defense and goaltending again. It's probably part of the plan in Anaheim, as the 2023 draft is a good one and the Ducks have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds.
