I think Dach gets more. Does he deserve more? Nope. But the Habs leverage is gone after giving up a first rounder for him

They need to trade a winger to sign Dach. If it’s Dadonov or Drouin, Pitlick is a solid replacement, you’re going to need him.

Same difference, his first season (6 games) didn’t accrue. The 3x$2.5mm deal came after 3 pro seasons. Same as where Dach is now. Pretty much same cap ceiling as then also.

I remember reading something where the leaguewide impression on a Dach bridge would be 2 x 2.65mil. So I think you're pretty close, but probably 2y instead of 3.

A 2 year bridge would have a much lower cap hit than what I listed here.
