How much for Dach bridge deal
I remember reading something where the leaguewide impression on a Dach bridge would be 2 x 2.65mil. So I think you're pretty close, but probably 2y instead of 3.

Montreal Canadiens signed Mike Hoffman (3 Years / $4,500,000 AAV)
Tatar replacement who only needs to hit the 45-50pt mark (which he has easily cleared/paced every year since 14/15) to perform at his AAV. I do not mind this at all, even if the middle is where the need is.

Have Nino, McCann, Jarnkrok, and a bunch of defensemen to flip at the deadline should the need arise.
And all the cap space I would need to chase free agents.</div></div>
I'd also like to extend Vince Dunn long-term and avoid arbitration. Don't mind taking Donato and Athanasiou to the table.

Weal at 700k is a cap dump? That's a new one 😂
As bigshame pointed out, adding Weal is actually irrelevant because Winnipeg will be over the cap floor after signing Domi (or agreeing on an extension prior to the trade).

Conceived via Twitter poll indicating that Laine price-check was a 1st-rounder, an A prospect, another pick/prospect, plus a roster player. Added Weal to ensure Winnipeg stayed above cap floor.

Lines wTrade
I don't abjectly reject the Montreal trade, but I don't think Josh Anderson is worth the 78th pick in the draft. If I'm Montreal, I'd rather give up the 98th pick (Anaheim's 4th) plus something late -- maybe a 5th this year or next.

Denault On the Move
Egh. Count me strongly among the "Don't trade Danault" camp (even though you've taken a King's ransom for him here). Seems to me that the move is to trade out the rights to Domi if he's not willing to learn how to properly and effectively play the wing.

(MTL / VGK) - Tatar, Suzuki, 2019 2nd for Pacioretty
To me this is the very definition of a hockey trade.
Vegas, in win-now mode (try saying THAT two years ago...), sell some of the future to pay for today, while Montreal sells a big part of today (out of the conference, no less, so smart move there) to get better tomorrow. Both teams got their players below contract value (Vegas for this season, Montreal for the next three).
I'll be interested to see Pacioretty's extension dollars, got to imagine it starts with a 7, or a very high 6, with a full NMC and a modified 10-12 team NTC.

If Winnipeg's pick is Nos. 1-3, which it won't be, Blues will receive Jets' first-rounder in 2019. Otherwise, they will get it this year.
If Blues don't re-sign Foley before Aug. 16, 2019, then they receive Jets' 4th rounder in 2020.

I don't disagree, I just think they're going to use JvR as that chip to cash in for a Top 4. As far as where Pleky plays, I mean, I think maybe Toronto is reacting to Boston getting Nash, grabbing a guy in Pleky who knows Boston well, plays their stars well, and matchup dependant, could see more ice time than Bozak in tight Playoff games. Of course I'm only speculating. I'm just appreciating this deal for Montreal.

I love this deal. I love this deal so much.
Pleky is a really underrated player. It'll be great to have him come back in July. Have no doubts he will. But this is the move that MB had to make. I've been saying for a month or more, not trading Plekanec would have been a failure of management given his value and the fact that he's on an expiring contract. Everybody wants him to come back and get his thousand games in Montreal. That'll happen, and, we got a good draft pick and two good depth players. I'm going to call it a fair trade right now, because the Leafs also get something that they really need, but, this is definitely leaning on Montreal side as far as winning the trade.

I do have to wonder if this, coupled with also having to do deals with Nelson and Pulock, and fix multiple holes in the lineup for next season including in goal, starts pricing the Isles out of JT.
But this contract by itself doesn't seem bad, if he remains a consistent 50-60pt player.

(BOS / FLA) 2018 3rd round pick - for Vatrano
Vatrano is still young, but he also needs a new contract and is arbitration-eligible. With Ryan Spooner needing a new deal, maybe Boston didn't think they could afford him? And like some have said, he's been pretty soundly passed on the depth chart. To replace & improve upon the third-rounder they gave up for Holden, this isn't a big price to pay IMO. Hope Vatrano proves me wrong though.

Arizona clears a contract and must have liked Kuemper a lot more than Wedgewood (don't blame them).
LA gets a decent winger, but nothing special. What do they plan to do if Quick misses time now? They have to be bringing in a better backup, right?</div></div>
I wonder if they'd be interested in a slightly-used Niemi? ?

Thread:
(LAK / ARI) - Rieder, Wedgewood for Kuemper
Both Wedgewood and Rieder are also arbitration-eligible this off-season, so maybe that played into the thinking a little bit.
There's also a question that lies at the core of this trade: is Darcy Kuemper potentially a #1 goaltender? Raanta's a UFA, he might want to explore elsewhere, and behind him, there was only Wedgewood. Is Kuemper MORE ready than Wedgewood to potentially fill that role? I would say yes, which explains to me the immediate extension.
I'll be honest - I like this trade from both sides. Rieder has almost 300 games of NHL experience, and over 100 points. Wedgewood joins his third NHL team, still searching for consistent playing time. In Kuemper, Arizona gains a reliable #2 who may (at least possibly) be ready to be a #1. So, the Kings downgrade in goal (which, how much does that really matter when you have Quick?) in order to upgrade at the forward position. Makes sense. The Kings have 3 forwards in the top 150 in points this year. They need offense to survive.
I may not personally have pulled this trigger - but I don't see it as a fleecing, either. Just a gamble.

(MTL / WSH) - 2019 5th round pick for Jerabek
I look at Jakub as a 'tweener: too good for the AHL, mostly-unproven in the NHL. Caps gain some blue-line depth for the Playoffs with upside at the NHL level. It's an inexpensive gamble on their part, and clearly MB and the management group in Montreal didn't like enough of what they saw.
Like HockeyWise above, I would have liked to have seen him go for a 4th (maybe even tacking on a late pick, 7th or 6th), but a 5th is tolerable right now. If Jerabek proves to be amazing, well, was he ever going to be amazing in Montreal? Debatable at best.
