Thread:
(WPG / STL) - Stastny for Foley, 2018 1st and 2020 4th
conditions of this trade:
If Winnipeg's pick is Nos. 1-3, which it won't be, Blues will receive Jets' first-rounder in 2019. Otherwise, they will get it this year.
If Blues don't re-sign Foley before Aug. 16, 2019, then they receive Jets' 4th rounder in 2020.
So Blues get Foley or the 4th...not both.

maybe something about their trade last year with Philly for Schenn.

(MTL / TOR) - Rychel, Valiev for Plekanec, Baun
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MountRoyal514</b></div><div>Wow, a better return than I expected, Bergevin deserves credit on this one. Many people assumed we'd get a 2nd for Pleks so its right on the money. As others pointed out, even if Rychel and Valiev only amount to being fringe NHLers, Montreal really needs help throughout their system, including being more competitive at the AHL level so our prospects don't develop in a constant losing environment. So win for that as well.</div></div>
Bob Mckenzie reported 2 or 3 days ago that Plekenec would only fetch a 4th so im not complaining lol

(NYR / BOS) - Spooner, Lindgren, Beleskey, 1st, and 7th for Nash
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PaulDunnill</b></div><div>Tell me what Boston gave up smart guy</div></div>
The few ways this deal can turn out as a BOS win is if Nash resigns and/or if BOS win the cup, so anything less then one or both of those 2 things and BOS lose out big time
But this can be said for all high profile rentals, not just Nash.

One things for sure, this is the deal that sets the market price for every other rental on the block imo. And seeing how GMs were complaining that prices were too high before this deal, looks prices aren’t going to go down at all.

(MTL / WSH) - 2019 5th round pick for Jerabek
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BridgewatersFinest</b></div><div>I look at Jakub as a 'tweener: too good for the AHL, mostly-unproven in the NHL. Caps gain some blue-line depth for the Playoffs with upside at the NHL level. It's an inexpensive gamble on their part, and clearly MB and the management group in Montreal didn't like enough of what they saw.
Like HockeyWise above, I would have liked to have seen him go for a 4th (maybe even tacking on a late pick, 7th or 6th), but a 5th is tolerable right now. If Jerabek proves to be amazing, well, was he ever going to be amazing in Montreal? Debatable at best.</div></div>
I dont think he sticks in Washington anyways, probably just a rental who will sign a cheap one-way deal in the offseason with a rebuilder type team

Something else I forgot to mention, With Shaw and Danault coming back from Injury we had 24 players on the roster and somebody had to be sent down. It was either him or Morrow being placed on waivers to open up a spot, so instead of losing somebody for free, we got a pick
