Description
The lines as they stand with me not making any major changes and bringing back both Nino and Necas

I think there will be an open competition for the left side 3rd pair.

Had to flip Bear do not take any value of trades too literal, not saying value just some throw ins.

I think Necas and KK will compete for the 2c slot and we will see some times when Necas slots in on line two taking draws. Could see him developing to a Giroux or Stamkos type who is essentially a winger who takes faceoffs.

Canucks wouldn't trade a 2nd for Bear. I doubt we'd even trade a 3rd for him. Someone might, not Van. His value is a 3rd or 4th.
Knuckl3s and majormoose007 liked this.

Completely fair, that solely was a throw away pick, I would like him back because he showed a lot of good things precovid, but if there is value out there for him I would take it, money dont line up unfortunately

Realistically the canes aren’t matching an offersheet similar to KKs. The starting price is a first and a third

Honestly, it is really hard to know what Necas is and what his value is ya feel? I really feel it depends on the person, some people think he is going to still be a dominant player, others feel like he is going to be in that 45 point range forever. I really feel like you could throw a dart at a board and probably have a better guess lol. I think his value is pretty reasonable, maybe a bit more than Lehkonen? I honestly dont know (Sorry I know this wasn't helpful in the slightest lol)

The trades were throw aways smile The price of cap space is goofy Ben Bishop went for a seventh (Who is retired) while Paches went for fc despite still being a good player. Makes no sense lol

I could see Bear pulling a second tho, I think a lot of teams would bank on that upside he has. But if it was less oh well *shrug*

Realistically, they can’t match an OS like the one they sent to KK. It’s just a matter of if a team wants to poke the bear with the stick and then get burnt in return. Because what happened with KK will happen again if someone sends an OS to KK.

The fact that Necas hasn’t hit his full potential yet gives him more value. I think that he will find his full potential with a move to C, much like what happened with Aho. Add in his age and you have an young player with a ton of upside. I do think he ends up being a great 2C, but with the right linemates, he could play up to a 1C level, much like Stephenson in Vegas, who on almost every other team would be a bottom 6 C.

I would compare Necas to a cross between Giroux/Stamkos and Stephenson. But that’s just my opinion, and I guess you could say that I’m one who still has hope that he will be dominant. I just hope he ends up being dominant for the Canes and doesn’t find his full potential elsewhere. Looking at you Skinner.

Thats a fair consideration, I think I would like to see Necas take that Giroux/Stamkos role of a winger who takes faceoffs, I think his game is just not made to be an NHL centerman. But some teams did see value if the report of him being the main piece in a Matthew tkachuck trade so idk maybe he has a lot more value around the league than we thought.
