There is no way the Flames are trading Elias Lindholm who was a big reason that Johnny Hockey and Tkachuck had career years last year in Calgary.

Or the more likely scenario, guadreau and tkachuk helped lindholm have a career year? He was well below tkachuk and guadreau in production and it’s consensus that he is a borderline 1C and a 2C on most teams. You could put David kampf between guadreau and tkachuk and I guarantee he puts up minimum 50 points

Gaudreau and Tkachuk are sick hockey players, but they're not miracle workers with that Kampf comparison. C'mon

Not sure where all of this Lindholm stuff is coming from. Even if CGY is losing JG and MT they’re unlikely to blow it up and rebuild. Also bring him back half retained is going to cost something that really hurts like Jarvis which I wouldn’t want to do. And if we bring him back just to stick him on third line wing what’s the point?

hes a UFA after 23-24, there is no way he is staying there for a rebuild. He will be traded next summer, OR you could trade him now to get a better return and improve your chances at picking top 2 next year. Pretty easy decision.

No way hes on the third line, hes the 2C if he comes back, and Necas isnt the 2C in Carolina bc he will be playing forward for the Flames after the trade.
