Trading Hanifin would be stupid, he was easily Calgary's best 2-way defenseman last year. Tanev is going to miss a good chunk of time at the beginning of the season too. If anyone should be sold high on it's Kylington

Leafs really do not need another LHD. But I would accept as I feel the greater value in the top 4 D man vs the skilled winger.

Have to give to get my friend. Weegar is a plug and play replacement for Hanifin. His underlying numbers are actually better than Hanifin's and he passes the eye test with his hard-nosed style of play. Besides, T.O. has become a dumping ground for former Flames defensemen (see - Brodie & Gio).

What is Sandin worth to Leafs fans? Could be a draft pick to make the LHD #'s work?

This makes the definition if 0 sense for the Leafs, we need a RhD but even that is a meh need, we need a 2nd Line LW desperately
