So now the leafs rd depth is one actual guy playing his side, a guy who never plays rd and a 7th defender and on top of it they cant accrue cap space for the deadline because of ferlands ltir.

How so? Leafs are in win now get an elite piece in Miller and a strong bottom pair RHD. Canucks gain a pick and a young RHD. Win win.

Vancouver isn't interested in Kerfoot or Holl and a 1st and Liljegren isn't enough for Miller @50% and Schenn. We also don't have the cap space to make those deals.

Every leafs AGM with a mueller trade for some reason always requires Kerfoot and Holl coming back the other way. No thank

For Toronto. Doesn't make the cap work for Vancouver.

How is Miller elite? His best season before last yr was 72 points and 2nd best was 56 points. If he was elite, he would have already been traded. Vancouver obviously is asking way too much for a guy with only 1 season with over 30 goals and over a point a game.
