They can definitely get a better package than this though.

It's pretty simple to me. The Flames are going to throw 10.5-11.5 at him with an NMC and tons of signing bonus. If he doesn't take it, they will trade him before the season even starts. I doubt they want this draggng out over the upcoming season.

I think Weegar is more likely to sign with the Flames right now.

Yes It would be fun to trade for Huberdeau, but he 's a free agent next summer if he wants to come here he will. Let him have another shot at the cup in the meanwhile.
