Overpayment for Miller and you are paying that much for someone you want to use as a 3C. It doesn't make any sense for the Leafs.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, A rhd prospect, B Centre Prospect, replacement level top 9 player is what this package is for 5-7 dmen and a top 3 forward.

What needs to be adjusted?

He could be top line winger, 2nd line winger, 2nd line centre, 3rd line centre. Pick where you want to slot him into the line up. Doesn't really matter where you put him, this team becomes way tougher to play against.

It definitely matters where you put him. As that top line winger, he'd be playing 20 minutes a night. As a 3rd like center, he'd be playing 15. At 15 minutes a night, he'll put up very embarrassing return for a trade like this.

He would be #1 pp and on the pk. Even as 3C, they would get him over 18 mins a game. He would take a lot of shifts on 1 wing and 2 wing also. They would move him all over. Teams do that all the time.

All I was saying is he can be all over the line up and they would play him 18-20 mins a game easy.

Easy solution. Bump Tavares down to 3C and move Miller up to 2C. Duh, why didn’t I think of that? Oh wait, I did. LOL.

Insane overpayment for a rental player… they can’t re sign him and giving up blue chip prospect, B prospect and those picks. The only way Vancouver will get close to that is if it comes with an extension which the leafs can’t give.
