Personally think Vancouver over pays largely for Bear. Pearson isn't a cap dump. And Carolina doesn't need either of those pieces going to them.

that's a massive underpayment for Miller and Dermott.

So this isn't fair at all. Value is either off, or needs aren't addressed.

You’re forgetting that miller is a rental at this point and every team is getting what they went from this so thats a lot for a rental, van is getting 2 rhd defenseman and draft picks, nash is getting a impact player, and carolina is getting depth, if miller resigns with nash, then van can get more

I agree with the part about the Carolina/Vancouver trade, Pearson being a 0.5PPG player at 3.2M isn’t bad, but Carolina doesn’t really need him either, having acquired Pacioretty from Vegas for nothing. Nashville and Vancouver is fine assuming that Miller is a rental, but I’d probably keep Dermott and not have an extra 3rd from a Canucks POV as he is still a good and young defenceman on a good contract.

That’s a lot going to Vancouver for a rental. A top 4 RD, a top 6 prospect and a 1st+. Rather pricey, I don’t see Nashville considering that

NSH is giving up too much for Miller, and they're taking on too much cap.

I'm not a huge fan of Bear, but that's a quantity over quality offer.

Pearson alone is arguably worth more than Bear

Canes pass. Can’t afford and don’t want Pearson, and DiPietro does nothing for the Canes. If you want Bear you can have him for a 2nd, Canes don’t want the extra moving parts.
