I don’t think Ottawa does this.

Didn't think so. Hefty price to pay but if they have a good year...who knows.

He’s gonna want 5-6 years after this year. I wouldn’t keep him if I’m Anaheim. Trade him and Shatty and pick up for assets

Anaheim probably has to take someone back from Florida at the deadline unless they have someone on LTIR, zero cap space for them (They are like 3 million over right now)

Honestly, I would try to force Toronto's 2023 1st out of them for Stolarz, under the assumption he puts up another fantastic year and Toronto's goaltending implodes. Is he worth a first? Probably not, but if the leafs miss the playoffs this year because of goaltending I don't think Dubas looses just his job, I think the citizens of Toronto come for his head with torches and pitchforks. I also think the Ducks like Stolarz and look to resign him to another 1-2 years to ensure we have a solid, reliable backup for Gibson until Dostal is well and truly ready to go (2024 estimates for backup duty is what some scouts project)

Probably retain 50% on Grant because cap space reasons, but deal seems fine otherwise.

Don't know enough about the kid from Ottowa, but there are a few teams with deep defensive prospect pools we could go fishing in.

As to Klingberg, I wouldn't touch anything over 5 years or above 5.5 mil AAV, assuming he has a good year on the Ducks. I know he wants job security, but I don't want us dragging the final years of a 7 year deal with him while we are in our playoff window.

Hopefully he’s willing to come back after chasing a cup in a deadline trade like we’d hoped Manson would. Let’s get a return at the deadline and re-sign him (only if it’s a favorable cap hit. Not interested in $7M JK with term at his age)

I’m with that 100% and I may even throw Stolarz and Henrique at the right price as well

I’d be looking to try and get Zaitsev with a 2nd+ if Ottawa wanted at the deadline as well to shed some cap to ‘replace’ them

I’ve been saying a lot the It makes so much sense that Grant goes to the Stars. He replaces Raffl. I’ve been saying this since the end of the Playoffs even before Raffl left.

If you look at this years returns for top 4 D, Klintberg should get a 1st, decent prospect and a 2nd to 4th rounder with 50% retained. Maybe a Nashville, Toronto, Vegas pays up. Should be plenty of teams that need a top 4 D for an upgrade and deep run.
