Only real trade interest for the CBJ would be a young top 6C. They should be able to develop anything else they need within the next 2-3 years.

Yeah that’s my thought to but for fantasy sakes i traded him.

Simek is better than Nemeth though and brings a lot of sandpaper and physicality.

Not sure I’d say Barbonov is good for 40-50 points when he only has one season where he almost hit that range as a 27 y.o. rookie.

Maybe he explodes this year for 30 goals and can get a haul at the TDL and can get you more than a 2nd; but, either way, if I’m SJ, I gamble on his value going up. I think the majority of the league right now looks at him less as a real-deal established player, and value him accordingly.

Barby isn't a scorer, he's a playmaker. He's also become a complete player in SJ, backchecking, blocking shots, taking hits to make plays. He's been way more than just some offense (though some of the passes he makes are Joe Thornton-esque)
