Looking at it now could probably do necas straight up but need to dump cap regardless to resign necas on bridge or Zadina on bridge deal if this happens

Who does Carolina use as backup? Why does Detroit need another goalie?

Why is Carolina adding? Necas is still the better player, so if anyone is adding is Detroit.

Pyotr kochetkov would be the replacement after preforming so well in ahl and his short nhl stint amd Raanta would replace Ned for Detroit as they both have 1 yr left on contract and Raanta is proven #2 to lean on

I agree but Zadina still has the potential as does Necas and at a young age, unfortunately in this situation we probably have to “lose” the trade regardless because of cap reasons and teams know that but I believe it will be a shaky season regardless and if we cant sign Mecas on bridge deal we will meed/want a nhl player to fill his roll and not a unproven farm player

He needs 1 more year. Andersen and Raanta expire next season

Maybe true but id rather Pyotr to backup Anderson this year as a transition year for himself to not have to be able to carry a team between the pipes; and i think in order to resign Necas or another player we have to get rid of someone and i think Raanta is easiest to move especially after playoff performance

Carolina declines instantly. Despite cap struggles in Carolina, Necas is worth more than Zadina without a doubt, as he is still developing whilst Zadina is basically a bust. Detroit don't even need Raanta, and Carolina most certainly need him as a backup for now.

You're better suited getting a good D prospect for Necas than an iffy F. He's got value, where Zadina is close to none. And the CAR D is gonna need help in a coupleyears

I'm pretty sure Zadina gets another chance under Lalonde but if he is still struggling to score then he more then likely gets traded at the TDL. He did work his ass off this season improved defensively and was quite often the first one back.
