Sorry Detroit passes.

Giving Nazem Kadri 7 years $63 million hurts our ability to resign both Raymond and Seider in 2 years.

Way overpay for a middle 6 center on the wrong side of 30 who just had a career year on a deep team.

Perhaps 3-4 years @ $7,000,000 per for Nazem Kadri. but no more.

Most accurate description of Kadri. He’s good. Would be a great edition to any team. But any multi year deal he signs carries a significant amount of risk.

Spot on. I’d even take a look at over paying for a 1 year deal, plus then you can move out some of our stagnant pieces that could use a change of scenery to succeed. We have about 8 bottom 6 guys right now… And young guys chomping at the bit to make the team this year or next. In my eyes, you could stand to lose a Rasmussen, an Oesterle, an Erne possibly. And then even get SOMETHING for them, even if it isn’t a 1-2 rounder.
