I'm surprised Kadri has been tied to the flames in rumors. I feel like he's the perfect fit there.

It is truly the type of player that they need to boost them. Too much of the load on Backlund. But it does smell pretty really Lou..ie

He replaces the snarl you'll miss from Tkachuk and yes, it takes some pressure off Backlund. Instead he'll go to the Isles where they'll still miss the playoffs.

Calgary should be paying for Kadri at 7X7M. That's a rough last 4 years at best.

It may not age well, but i dont think hes holding out for a 3-5 year deal, unless its the Av's

Technically he should be able to play this season. But would not be surprised if he has a recovery year after back surgery.

Seven years for 30 year old is way too long.......Of course Huberneau will be 30 when he starts his eight year contract.
Think Boston is good destination for Kadri if Bergeron doesn't return. There aren't many teams with cap that can afford Kadri to start the season.

I'm sure kadri is wanting max term, and he'll probably get it, but yea I could see his production never reaching what it was last year

Look what happened to Klingberg. Expected to cash in on his final contract. At age 29, he thought he was getting at least a six year deal. Settled for one year at 7m. It seems that maybe the musical (cap) chairs are filled. Kadri really doesn't have many options. Does a team with cap like Buffalo or the Wings want him, but a just about a four year deal at 7m?

I agree. I just don't want Anymore poorly aging deals. Monahan, I can forgive because it was injuries and unforeseeable. Lucic, was better than Neal. Huberdeau won't age well in those last 3 years. Unlike Kadri, Huberdeau doesn't play a rough and tumble type game. I can see Kadri declining faster. I'd prefer not signing him, despite the "fit" he has with the flames.

I agree, but I think kadri is a bit different, hes coming off a big career year. I wouldn't be surprised if a team had a deal placed and their just clearing cap, I'm sure kadri is gonna get payed and at max years. and for klingberg I honestly don't know, must not have had the offers he was expecting.
