At this point Sweeney cant clear enough cap for both zacha and krejci. Zacha will be here on a 1 year deal in the $3.5 mill range. Thats it.

If it goes over the cap, teams can take a cap penalty in future years but with Pasta coming up as UFA, and Swayman needing a deal next summer, I don't think the Bruins would consider it.

Not a huge fan of being able to do that because this bonus is obviously going to be met. It’s not like other bonuses that require to be top 3 on the team in scoring. Boston will definitely end up needing to defer the hit till next season once Foligno and smith come off the books and it’s apparent that the contract was designed for that sole purpose
