I don't mind the line Bob proposed. It worked well in the playoffs given the state of Draisaitl's ankle, but I think keeping McDrai separate gives the Oilers a better scare tactic against teams that can catch them off guard when down a goal or at 4v4 with more open ice to work with. Still nice to see that, even if they did run the lines this way, the 2nd-4th lines could still hold their own.

this line terrifies me, the amount of scoring, speed, physicality, and passing talent is unreal.

I know! I wasn't hating on you at all, my apologies if it seemed like I was. It's definitely a neat idea for sure!

Detroit passes, it would take a minimum of a 2nd to move Foegele, So what else are you adding to the Veleno deal as it isn't enough.

Wings pass easy. Veleno still very young and has very good potential to be a very solid 3C and one day be a 50 point guy. And he has just an overall great attitude for a young guy. Foegele is in his prime and he's a 30 point guy. in 5 years time he'll be down in the AHL and replaced by some younger faster bottom pair guy and Veleno will be entering his prime.

Splitting your top 2 offensive players is actually quite rare in today's NHL. Florida did it last year and Pittsburgh does it regularly, but most teams stack their #1 line.

The difference here is that nobody else has two players as good as McDavid and Draisaitl.
