I don't like either player that much but I'd keep my 2nd rounder and Barrie at least puts up points.

Barrie isn't the type of player Ottawa needs at all considering Ottawa will have Chabot, Sanderson and Brannstrom all of whom are offensively gifted. I also doubt Edmonton needs another "shutdown type D" that has no first pass.

Hamonic has a role on the third pair in Ottawa.

Ottawa needs to get rid of Zaitsev more than Hamonic.

Yeah nobody in Ottawa is dreaming about Tyson Barrie, and they definitely aren't dreaming about Zaitsev staying in Ottawa.

I felt at the start of the offseason that it would be a failure if Zaitsev was on the roster to start the season. I don't think that it will be a failure anymore after the moves that have already been made but more of a disappointment.
