Flames aren’t trading weegar, it sounds like they may give him an extension. Not to sure why you wouldn’t give Robertson 5 or 6 years. I think you might have to add another player to that Chicago trade. But everything looks great

I think it's more why would Weegar stay with that stacked d corps when he could go to Dallas and play on the top pair with Heiskanen long term. I don't blame calgary and Weegar for wanting to get an extension done but they won't be parting with Andersson or Hanifin. Tanev Zadorov and Kylington are locked up for 2 years. They can make this trade and get a solid middle 6 winger and Bourque who is a top prospect for the future. Seems like a win/win to me.

Robertson likely costs too much to give 5-6 years if you want to make these moves.

Kane is a rental, even at a year, and I don't know what else we could give.

Weegar is going to be on the top pair in Calgary on a better team, with a coach that prioritizes what he does. A signs point to him extending.

Rather keep Bourque and sign Severson next offseason. Heiskanen will be fine on the left side for another season.

I also have a hard time trading two 1sts for a guy that the Stars have no shot at re-signing

I mostly disagree with the bolded. You are right in that they very likely will not be moving either of Hanifin or Andersson but I would not be surprised at all if Kylington is shopped. Weegar will 100% get top pairing minutes in Calgary regardless of what pairing he plays on. If I had to guess right now he will most likely play with Tanev and average over 21 minutes a night with ample time on both special teams units.
