As much as I'd hate to see Miller in a Flames jersey, if they can give him the $9M extension he's earned and the Canucks can get an extension on Weegar to be a long-term partner for Hughes, I see this as a huge win-win for both teams.

Without extensions, I don't see either team willing to take the risk.

Too much from CGY whose preference would be to sign Weegar long-term but if that fails, Weegar + Valimaki for JT Miller + Jett Woo might make sense.

If CGY needs to top up, they could send LW Prospect Lucas Ciona or Walker Duehr, but they’re not going to give up much more in terms of assets
