Ottawa probably accepts because in all likelihood they’ll make the playoffs or at least be very close in 23-24. So the first round pick likely will be middle of the pack or lower.

Too much, Chychrun doesn’t put us over the top enough to give up that much, with no offence to Chychrun. We are closer to rebuilding than contending

The main issue is that the jets are stacked with LHD and already have to force guys to play their offside. Adding another LHD doesn’t make sense regardless of how good they are.

Not to mention that like you said, jets are closer to rebuilding than contending lol.

I’d be fine moving any one of our LD for forward help or a RD if we got Chychrun, he would arguably be our best D.
It stems from selling the farm when we are 2 years from potentially losing our 2 top centres and Vesina goalie.

Holy crazy overpay. I could see the Jets trying hard for Chychrun if he was an RD, but as an LD, Winnipeg should have no interest.

You’re right it’s a bad idea lol. Chychrun would be our best Dman.

I'd consider this if Lucius was removed, would rather trade DeMelo instead of Dillon though, guess there'd need to be another asset or two to replace Lucius, what that'd be Idk.

So Chychrun or Morrissey plays on their offhand, who cares, there's no right handed dmen available.

Idk, they're too good to bottom out, if there's protection on the 2023 1st than maybe its worth the risk, well its probably not worth the risk to be honest but might be fun to see a big move by this team.

I put Dillon because the Jets want to move him. Chychrun is young so there window is open for longer.
Luciz is the only other good prospect I see them trading. If they miss playoffs they'll likely fall in the 12-16 pick range. So the protection is just incase they win the lottery.
DeMelo is one of the player who can play D on this team.
If the top 6 d was. Morrisey, Pionk, Chycrhun Schmidt, Demelo and Samberg. They would've inproved.
Heilona isn't proving he's ready for the NHL and will improve on a coyotes roster getting more minutes.

Coyotes are wanting at least one of there good prospect a pick and a nhl player. Greigs stock is at a all time high. They wont have enough cap to keep all of them in 4 years.

Sure if we could get Chychrun for a reasonable price to replace Dillon that would be great. I just don't think Chychrun will be moved for a reasonable price.

If there was some way to keep Lucius out of it then it might be worth it, wonder if they'd take Lambert or another of the Jets many D prospects, hell they could take two of these D prospects along with Heinola, there won't be room for them all anyway.

Dillon is good defensively and adds size which this tiny group really needs.

Morrissey-Chycrun
Dillon-Pionk
Samberg-Schmidt
Stanley

That's a decent defense.
