Very interesting trade with Ottawa. I assume one Calgary dmen gets traded this offseason to upgrade their forward group. Would Calgary rather trade Andersson over Tanev?

Either way, I like that trade for both teams. Good job on that one!

i can't see tanev being moved strictly because he is so good defensively.
hanifin and weegar would form one of the best two way pairings in the league and though kylington is getting better defensively he is more of an offensive threat which is why they would keep tanev.
Anderson's age fits better and he is good defensively aswell but i think it would be hard to move one of the best defensive dmen in the league

i really like the ottawa trade aswell greig would fit sutters system so well and ottawa needs another good dman preferably RH and Anderson would be a solid partner for Sanderson in his first few seasons

How happy are you going to be about having traded Andersson away a year from now if -- God forbid -- Weegar doesn't re-sign in Calgary?

Sens can’t afford to move greig because of the uncertainty surrounding formenton and batherson. don’t mind the trade otherwise

These things are true about Tanev, and so is him being 32. I really see him as the odd man out, regardless of ability.

Treliving's work this offseason has been so masterful, to move Anderson (who with Hanafin are a 1-2 punch for another 7 years if you want) just seems crazy to me.

The mobility of the Flames D, and how young it is....... I think you keep with the process.

Notwithstanding, the Ottawa deal is nicely constructed and makes sense; but I think it may take more away from the backend than I would want.

I'd rather do Thomson + 1st than trade Greig

Ottawa's management said recently that he was not available
