If Yzerman didn’t take Monahan for a 1st, I doubt he’s taking on any other bailouts for picks, which is unfortunate.

Personally, I'd like a 4th line with more speed/upside. I'm not the coach though, Sutter likes grit and experience on that line. Lucic is here to stay and I'd imagine he rolls with Lucic-Rooney-Lewis until injury changes that

I can assure you Yzerman isn't bringing Lucic to Detroit.

Lucic is not the kind of player you would want in a young locker room, with all his antics. 2nd It will take more to take his contract on with the cap situation of most of the teams in the league, and it is not going to be some future pick that is 2 years away.

Lol what? He's an incredible locker room leader and a very genuine person.

What a horribly ignorant opinion

Well I have history on my side.

His telling Montreal players that he would kill them in a handshake line after a playoff game, which was meet with his being dealt to LA his numerous cheap shots, his run in with Canucks fans, after Bruins beat them, and his overall demeanor is not what Yzerman is building. He may be a great locker room guy, but his brand of hockey and they way he plays is not what the current NHL is, good or bad. He is just not the type of player that Stevie is trying to build and resurrect in Detroit. Probert and Kocur were fun and at the time that is how hockey was played, but that is history and speed and skill are the name plates of the current hockey and that is not what Lucic brings to the rink.

LOL

Ok first of all the "kill you" thing was in 2014, it's 2022. Secondly he said it only to Dale Weise and that's taken out of context a bit. Looch was clearly heated throughout the series, both him and Weise were at each others throats all series long. That was if anything a bit over the top smack talk when you hear the whole thing. It's not different from when Kadri told Giordano the same thing.

The Canucks fans thing took place in 2013, again it's 2022.

You are clearly living in the past and have no idea who he is today. What he brings to the team now is excellent leadership, mentorship, character, and protection.
