If they're trading Sid then they're calling it quits and Girard does nothing for us.. It makes more sense to take him out and add a couple of GOOD prospects. Not throw-ins lol

Plus as-is, that trade doesn't warrant the retention. You'll need to step it up for that.

EDIT: If you need to make a salary move with this, you could always throw in Compher since he's a UFA after this year it's an easy one. I'm sure you can trade Girard elsewhere for additional space.

Let's be honest, three firsts are great, yes, but they're all going to be bottom five picks. Newhook is great and all, but you're gonna need to pony up Olausson. Girard just serves no purpose to a team going into a rebuild, which is what they'd be doing if they moved Sid. IMO if you swap him out with Compher for your salary needs, add Olausson and either Foudy or Ranta, then it works with retention.
