i think so too but avs might end up painting themselves in a corner with a 2c.

It really just depends on how Newhook performs. But Bednar is a great coach and does a good job of creating mismatches for the opposition by mixing up his top six. Also, is Dvorak a 2C?

i would say no but lehky, bura, and nuke weren't top 6 until they got here either.

Yeah, the Avs saw potential in them and maybe Devo is a 50 pt guy that can effectively play 2C on this particular team - he would be lined up with play-drivers and strong two-way players so that might unlock another level. I'm just not all that much in favor of burning more assets if they don't have to. He's got three years left so that's good and maybe worth the 2024 1st but I'd rather they try to ship out assets they don't intend to use like Kaut and Maltsev before they burn another 1st or a B+/A- prospect that could really come in handy over the next few years. I think it's worth asking on Devo but I'd have to think hard about what I'm willing to let go for him.

Kaut or Ranta would be preferable to Olausson. I think it's more fair too. Gotta take out the retention though, as that is probably pretty expensive these days.

The difference is that Burakovsky was never really given a shot on a stacked WAS team, Nichushkin well that’s a long story, Lehkonen yeah I would have never thought that, but all of those guys also got to either play with MacK or Kadri which is a lot different than asking a guy that basically has Compher numbers to become Kadri. I would rather run Erod at a discount than trade tangible assets for a guy that makes a more than Compher.
